Tuobodom Peacemakers Committee in Ghana (August 2016).
Wars can be prevented or even stopped. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence demonstrating that peacebuilding can be effective. However, efforts to reduce armed conflict have been piecemeal, with little coordination or establishment of priorities. There is almost no hard data to guide the application of peacebuilding resources to where they can do the most good. Moreover, the resources being devoted to promoting peace are pitifully small, compared to the magnitude of the problem.
The Peacebuilding page focuses on the problem and efforts to solve it. The Publications page presents some facts and opinions of observers of the problem.
While the site inevitably reflects my own biases based on my years of working to promote peace, it may be helpful to others engaged in the same task.
